Parramatta’s Australia Day 2018 celebrations offer 15 hours of non-stop entertainment for the whole family from dusk until dawn, attracting more than 65,000 people.
This year’s celebration will feature:
Aerial – Featuring the ever popular hot-air balloon display from 6am-9am, and from 8-11am kid’s rides and games, food, entertainment and roving performances. The Aerial stage will host various local acts including the Western Sydney Youth Orchestra throughout the morning, and at 3.30pm the grand final of the Parravision talent competition will unfold and three lucky winners will be announced.
The Big BBQ, 7am-4pm – The battle of the best smoked, grilled and basted meats.
CARnivale, 10am-5pm – Showcasing the ultimate collection of classic vehicles including cars, fire engines, trucks, coaches, motorbikes and vintage speedway cars. All vehicles are built before 1987 – the oldest car entered is a 1907 American REO Tourer. 2018 is the third year CARnivale has been held in Parramatta Park and the event has grown every year both in entries and the number of people attending.
Kids Crescent, 12-6pm – food stalls, kid’s workshops, entertainment, rides and on-stage entertainment.
Redbull Stage, 12-7pm – featuring a selection of Western Sydney female DJ artists.
The Crescent, 6-9pm – The main stage will be led by two iconic Australian perfomers.
Fireworks spectacular at 9pm to finish the day-long celebrations.
