Welcome to the 2019 Football Season – Registrations to Play for the Newington Gunners in 2019 are now open. You can register for the 2019 Season at the following Football NSW Website
If you are returning to play another season be aware the website has been changed and is a little different from the setup over the last few seasons
You will need to create a new account. Previous login and passwords are no longer valid.
Once you have setup your new account the system allows you to link your new registration to all your registration data from previous years so all your history is connected in the new system. Please make sure you link this up rather than creating a new separate account.
However, the one thing that has not transferred are player photographs. You will need to upload a new current photo. So we suggest you have a photo ready to upload before you start the registration process.
Another tip is that if you are going to use the $100 Active Kids Voucher to help pay for the registration you can apply for the voucher on-line at this Service NSW Website
If you apply and get a voucher number you can enter the voucher number in during the registration process and it will take the $100 of the registration fee you pay. You should apply and get your voucher number before you start the registration process

The Christmas Party on Saturday was another huge success run by WPCC.
Santa with his Elf was a hit with most kids and they all love “Bop Till You Drop”. This was in mid-flight when the first of three big storms hit and on advice we had to pull the pin due to the electrics being in danger.
The storms did not affect Todor our chef nor Stan The Man Disc Jockey, both of whom just kept on going.
By shut down we still had a very big crowd remaining, somewhat damp but just getting on with it.
Once again this party does not happen without a huge effort to move all the gear. We appreciate the helpers and the truckies who pitch up on both Sat and Sunday to set up and then get everything back in shape.
This year’s party was fully sponsored by Morton Real Estate to the tune of $5600.00. Sentinel also donated the services of one Security Guard who had a very easy night as everyone was well behaved and no-one was Yellow Carded by the RSA Police,
The Friday BBQ will be asleep over Christmas and will not resume until 18th January 2019.
Our last BBQ delivered a raffle donation of $200.00 to WP Primary School P&C. This brings the Kayak Club total donations for the year to just over $3000.00. Further indirect donations from Friday nights are for Repair and Maintenance of the BBQ including parts and labour. Replacement of worn out/or unreturned tables and chairs at our cost.
We also secured a donation of $2000.00. From Sekisui for Summer Giddings from Napoli to help with her travel to the World Cerebral Palsy Games.
Thanks must go to all the volunteers who make this event happen each Friday.
We have been notified by Piety THP of works at 23 Bennelong Parkway as follows:
Installation of footbridge between buildings D and E.
Tuesday 18th December 2018.
9:00am to 4:00pm ( lane closure times)
7:00am to 6:00pm (construction activity)
The mobile crane set up has been approved to be set up on part of the slip lane on Bennelong and Hill Roads, so this slip lane will be closed at the above mentioned times.
These works have already been approved by RMS/COUNCIL etc so we are kindly advising the community and local neighbours also.
Of potential interest to WP residents. Will need to investigate this further. Would be a useful service if it ran from WP to Lidcombe Station as an example.
