Update about the Baylink Shuttle Bus Service
Update 12 July 2018
The Baylink Shuttle free community bus service has reached a significant milestone, carrying more than 300,000 passengers since it commenced just 5 months ago.
Introduced in January as a trial to assess community demand, the Shuttle is being fully funded by Billbergia as a company expense – at no cost to any residents of the Wentworth Point community. The Baylink Shuttle operates Monday to Friday between 6:30am and 6:45pm, to provide a free loop service between Wentworth Point, the Ferry Wharf, the new Public School and Rhodes train station.
In response to the overwhelming popularity of the service, Billbergia has now decided to extend the trial for at least the next 12 months and will be introducing new, larger buses with increased capacity.
The Baylink Shuttle is part of Billbergia’s plans for the last stage of its waterfront development at the Wentworth Point Town Centre.
The new larger buses are expected to be operational by mid-September – additional information about the new buses will be available in a few weeks.
In the meantime you can contact the Baylink Shuttle team on Ph 1800 WWP BUS (1800 997 287) for further information.
